ABOUT MADDIE POTTS
A kind, compassionate competitor and friend to so many on and off the field, seventeen-year old Maddie Potts suffered a brain aneurysm on September 23, 2017 as she lined up to take a free kick. Maddie died at the hospital the next day. Maddie was a senior, a captain, and soccer and lacrosse player at Chariho High School. Cherishing her indomitable, positive spirit, her family identifies with Positive Coaching Alliance’s message and mission to help develop Better Athletes, Better People through sports done right. CYSA is hosting a Pasta Dinner on Saturday, December 1, 2018 to benefit the CYSA Maddie Potts Scholarship and Rosemary’s Wish Kids. This fundraiser is replacing our 2018 CYSA 3v3 Jamboree.

8U-10U (birth years 2009, 2010, 2011) – 10am -11am
11U-14U (birth years 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005) – 11:15-12:30
8U-10U (birth years 2009, 2010, 2011) – 1pm -2pm
11U-14U (birth years 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005) – 2pm-3:15pm
If your child was born prior to 2005 and you are interested in them playing on a team, please contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. If there is enough interest we may be able to field a team.
All participants MUST bring a ball, water bottle and be wearing cleats and shin guards.
ANYONE WISHING TO BE PLACED ON A SPRING COMPETITIVE TEAM MUST ATTEND TRYOUTS/BE EVALUATED

U16 and U12 Championship games at 10:30 are still on today. All other games have been cancelled.
Coaches please return your equipment at 10:30 today and pick up your trophies, we will be on the fields. If weather is real bad look for us under the main pavilion in the parking lot.
In anticipation of a very wet and rainy day tomorrow, all rec games, family day, and 3v3 tournament games have been cancelled for tomorrow 10/27.
For all SuperLiga competitive games, please be sure to check for “RainedOut” notifications and/or check the SuperLiga website to determine the status of your game.
CYSA is partnering with Rosemary’s Wish Kids to bring our 2018 3v3 Jamboree on Saturday October 20, 2018.
All games are held from 1:00-5:00PM, jamboree details, registration forms and rules are available here.
Rosemary Bowers has been granting wishes since 1982. Rosemary left A Wish Come True in 2013 knowing there was more work to be done. She founded Rosemary’s Wish Kids, Inc. (RWK) in 2016. RWK grants “wishes” to local children and young adults ages 3 thru 21 who have life threatening illnesses living in RI and Southeastern MA. CYSA is proud to partner with this family organization.
CYSA has been providing an annual college scholarship to one female and one male graduating senior from the Chariho community for the past 7 years.
Please consider volunteering, participating and forming a team, eligible age groups are from U8-Adults.
